How does the retractable mechanism work? Do I need to twist it?
No twisting required! To use it, simply press the "POP" button at the top, and the needles will extend instantly. When you are done, just give the tool a quick, gentle flick upward, and the needles will smoothly retract back into the aluminum handle by gravity/inertia.
Will the needles get bent when they retract inside the handle?
Not at all. The internal alignment chamber is precision-engineered to guide the needles straight back into the body without any friction. This signature design keeps your ultra-fine needles perfectly straight and safe from accidental bending.
How do I adjust the needle spread angle on this retractable model?
You can easily customize the needle spread by rotating the textured collar located right below the top push button. Turning it will widen or narrow the needle angle, letting you adapt perfectly to different portafilter sizes and doses.
Can the needles scratch the bottom of my precision filter basket?
Our needles are custom-crafted from premium 304 food-grade stainless steel with a flexible 0.35mm diameter. The tips are carefully rounded and completely blunt, allowing you to stir all the way to the bottom of the basket to break up clumps without leaving a single scratch.
