FAQs

Why should I choose a 2-in-1 tool over a separate distributor and tamper?

Efficiency and consistency. The Popspresso Dual-Head tool combines your entire puck preparation into one seamless device—level your coffee bed with the geometric angled side, flip it over, and press down with the flat tamper base. It streamlines your workflow, saves vertical space on your espresso bar, and ensures professional repeatability.

How do I adjust the depth for my specific basket and dose?

Our stepless depth adjustment mechanism is entirely tool-free. Simply loosen the black aluminum knurled grip ring counterclockwise, twist the stainless steel base side to your desired depth (adjustable between 6mm and 9mm to fit 18g–22g baskets), and then tighten the knurled grip clockwise to lock it securely in place.

How should I clean and maintain the dual-head tool?

Since the tool features premium anodized aluminum and stainless steel components, it is not dishwasher safe. After each brewing session, simply wipe the stainless steel bases with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove residual coffee oils. Avoid using harsh chemical detergents or abrasive pads that could scratch the polished mirror finish.

Why does coffee powder sometimes stick to the base after tamping, and how do I prevent it?

This is usually caused by static electricity or micro-moisture on the tool's surface (often referred to as the "vacuum effect"). To prevent grounds from sticking, make sure the stainless steel bases are completely dry before you start your puck prep. If static is high due to your grinder, a quick tap on the side of the portafilter before lifting the tool can help cleanly separate the base from the coffee bed.
